Engagement Options
Three Ways We Work With Malaysian Businesses
Each engagement is structured around a specific operational question — supply chain, logistics, or distribution — with defined scope, timeline, and written output.

How Sungai Method Engagements Work
Each engagement begins with a scoping conversation — understanding your situation, your organization, and what you are trying to learn or address. From this, we agree a written scope that defines what is covered, what the output looks like, and the timeline for completion.
The engagement then follows a structured sequence: mapping current state through available documentation and direct observation; conducting stakeholder conversations with your team and relevant partners; synthesizing findings; and producing the written report.
At completion, we walk through the findings together. Questions are answered, clarifications are made, and the report is yours to use as you see fit.
Scoping Conversation
Understand the situation, agree on scope and timeline, formalize confidentiality terms.
Operational Mapping
Review documentation, map current supply or logistics state, identify key relationships and dependencies.
Stakeholder Conversations
Structured conversations with your team and relevant partners — conducted with discretion.
Written Findings Report
Calibrated observations, documented findings, and considered recommendations — delivered in writing.
Report Walkthrough
We walk through the report together, answer questions, and confirm next steps if applicable.

Shared Standards
What Applies Across All Engagements
Confidentiality Agreement
Formal confidentiality terms are agreed and signed before any information is shared. This applies to all data, conversations, and operational details encountered during the work.
Written Scope Agreement
Every engagement begins with a written scope document that both parties agree to. Changes to scope require mutual agreement in writing — there are no unilateral extensions or additions.
Senior Consultant Delivery
The consultants who scope the engagement conduct the work. Fieldwork, stakeholder conversations, and report writing are not delegated to junior team members.
Progress Communication
Updates are provided at agreed intervals. If something unexpected arises during the engagement, we communicate it directly rather than quietly adjusting the scope of the output.
Honest Assessment
Findings reflect what we actually observe — not what clients hope to find. Reports include areas of concern and suggestions for reconsideration, not only confirmations of existing decisions.
Report Walkthrough Included
All engagements conclude with a walkthrough of the written report. Questions are answered, observations are clarified, and the document is confirmed complete and understood.
